Glad to add this book to my herbal library

Book has much of the same information as David Hoffmann's THE HOLISTIC HERBAL but arranged differently. THE HOLISTIC HERBAL has more information but this book has 13 pages on HERB GARDENS AND CULTIVATION, 15 pages that deal with herbs in cooking, dyeing, potpourris and a page on BECOMING A MEDICAL HERBALIST that I found interesting and informative. Glad to add this book to my herbal library.

A great reference book for all Herbalism students!

The Herbal Handbook by David Hoffmann is a great source of definitions of actions of the most commonly used herbs. Also of interest is the chemistry of plants, the body systems and their recommended herbs, which include methods of preparation for medicinal and cosmetic use.
The incredible amount of information in this book is easy to read. The section on actions is the most comprehensive I have read yet!
This title should be in every Herbalists personal library!

Good book

It's a good book. Written in a way that I'm not used to, but after re-reading it, It's more understandable. It's informative and useful. I have at least one friend who wants one and another I've helped with it.
