great drawing book

I have almost every book in this series. I am an art teacher and these books are wonderful and simple enough for ages 5-12

Enjoyable even for the less-than-artistic!

My husband and I bought this book for my 5-year-old daughter. While he is rather talented as an artist, my drawing ability is probably less than that of my little girl.

The directions in the book are very simple and clear. Each monster is broken down into simple shapes that build one upon another. My daughter talked me into drawing a few monsters and I found that it was quite fun to be able to produce something that was more or less like the finished picture in the book. I've also been very surprised and pleased by what she is able to produce. She likes coloring and drawing but is sometimes discouraged because she can't figure out how to translate something onto paper. She's really taken to this book and her pictures have been quite good.

We all enjoy this book so much that I plan on purchasing other titles in the series.

Great introduction into fun drawing

My [...] has enjoyed this book. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it doesn't stay open very easily, which I think a drawing book should do. Also, none of the drawings in the book are colored, like the front of the book. It would have been nice if 1 or 2 on each page showed a monster colored in.

It does have a nice mix of monsters, some hard, some easy. It definitely interested him to draw monsters, so the concept is a winner. Just wish they'd make those slight improvements.

The richest ranch owner is hell-bent on buying out the second largest cattle ranch and when Jess gets involved, lead starts flying and men start dying. Tom Rund makes it his mission to remove his one obstacle that's still in his way...Jess Williams.

I have been reading westerns since the age of 8. I am now 66. Mr Thomas' Jess Williams series is hands down, THE BEST! Period!! Keep them coming!

Body Count, another Jess Williams novel, and body count is a good title - means just that.....

Well, this one gets started with Jess up in Hays, Kansas, finding justice for a friend of his by the name of Hardtack Hammer, and he does just that. Then, to make things really interesting, he receives word that he is to join up with John Bodine in Wichita, Kansas and attempt to stop a range war between two large ranchers. This is where the story really gets into high gear, to say the least, and I won't spoil it for you by exposing any more. Suffice it to say, read it.....you won't be disappointed as this is an edge or your seat ride that will take you all the way to the end of the road and back....

What a Bewitching cookbook

If you are a Bewitched fan, you will adore this book. It is well written, and very entertaining. As a child growing up I loved watching Bewitched. Reading this book took me back. Fun Book. I'm a big Bewitched fan and this is great. I haven't tried the recipes but it's got a lot of little tidbits about what went on behind the scenes.

I thoroughly recommend the pineapple dish and the egg curry

It appears the book has been translated without much care: repeated ingredients; vague or conflicting instructions; etc. It’s not a big deal really, but if you’re uptight about such things it’s probably not for you. That said, if you look beyond these slight discrepancies it’s a marvellous collection of very interesting curries. I thoroughly recommend the pineapple dish and the egg curry.

East Indian food that is as authentic as it gets.

The recipes have an ingredient list a mile long but that's why I like them. If I wanted to eat dinner in 30 minutes I would have bought, "Rachel Ray Cooks India" (there is no such title :). I like to putter all afternoon in the kitchen when I can and make something authentic. This cookbook is as authentic as it gets. There is also a handy "tutorial" with photos at the front of the book describing all of the characteristics of the many herbs and spices that may be unfamiliar to you. Buy this before it goes out of print.

A very nice book of Indian Curries

My boyfriend's mom has incredibly high standards when it comes to cooking. She bought this book in an airport in India as she tried to use up the rest of her rupees before leaving the country. She ended up really loving the cook, and during my last visit copied a few of them for me. I love Indian cooking, so I decided I might as well invest in the whole book. I've made the moong dahl recipe for a group of friends and they were incredibly impressed. Actually, it maybe have been the best recipe for lentils I've ever used. I'm incredibly happy with the book, and can't wait to use it more!
